A Charter Like No Other
Our private crabbing adventure is as immersive as it gets. You will get to experience the entire Alaskan crabbing experience from drop, pull, and eventually eat!
Created by locals who have been crabbing in Alaska for years. This is not just a charter, it's an invitation to learn, experience, and immerse in Alaskan culture.
Board - Your journey will start in our cozy boathouse located in Aurora Harbor. You will board SpongeBob, an authentic Alaskan crabbing boat, receive a safety briefing, and then depart!
Cruise - We will venture through the channel, where seals, eagles, and even possibly a hot tub boat will be seen... We will walk you through our secret baiting technique, inform you a little on the science and history of Dungeness crabs, and get ready for pulling our bounty.
Drop - Get your hands wet (or don't, we'll give you gloves) as you prepare your own buoy and set your ring. Have a full party? No worries, everyone will get a turn, and their own ring.
Taste - Literally taste Alaska and sample Dungeness crab the way our momma made it.
Pull - Retrieve your ring and check your treasure. Take photos with your new friends. Surprise visitors? There may be sea stars, tanners, maybe a sea cucumber!
Return - We will head back to Aurora Harbor and disembark SpongeBob. Any keepers you pull, are now yours. We will provide you with recipes and ideas for how to prepare your own Dungeness dinner.
